Hi, I’m Vidhi, founder of Puffos.

I moved to Canada with big dreams and a deep sense of responsibility. As an immigrant, starting over meant building something from the ground up — not just a career, but a legacy.

Puffos was born from that journey.

Behind the colours, the flavours, and the fun branding is a very personal mission:
I’m building this brand to one day retire my parents — the people who sacrificed everything to give me opportunity.

Water Lily Seeds/Fox Nuts or Makhana has always been part of my story. It’s a snack tied to family, culture, and comfort.

But when I looked at the Canadian snack aisle, I saw an opportunity.

Puffos is a snack that blends my tradition with my new home — taking a nostalgic ingredient from my roots and reimagining it with bold, modern flavours crafted for the Canadian market.

Puffos are made from roasted water lily seeds, also known as Makhana or fox nuts. They are a natural, plant-based snack that is light, crunchy, and available in a variety of flavors — Classic Salt & Pepper, White Chocolate & Coconut, White Chocolate & Oreo, and Dubai Chocolate.
Are Puffos a healthy snack?

Yes! Puffos are a guilt-free snack option. Water lily seeds (Makhana) are naturally low in calories, high in protein, and a good source of magnesium and calcium. They contain no artificial preservatives, making them a great alternative to chips or heavily processed snacks.
